For the new academic year we are trying a new system for getting letters / news out to parents. All news items will be posted on this page, and copies of letters home will go on this page.
We hope to have a system in place during the first term to get copies of letters emailed to those parents that want them, but in the mean time you can follow us on Twitter for notification.
The school will be closed to parent and visitors from the 27th July and will reopen on the 10th August. Deliveries will be able to be made throughout the summer holidays and duty caretaker will be on site to assist.
Healthy School Award presentation
Two Olchfa students collected Olchfa’s latest Healthy School award recently. The award will be on display outside the Main Hall shortly.

Year 8 ESDGC “Eco Day”
Pupils will be involved in a series of workshops over the two days.
Bring in £2 for non-school uniform (wear “something green” and trainers. Pupils should wear clothing that is suitable for physical activity, so no jeans or skirts please). Money raised will go towards Save The Children projects abroad.

Fair Trade shop in South Block will be selling Fair Trade food items at breaktime.
As the global Earth Hour was on a Saturday, the school eco-committee decided to organise an Olchfa Earth hour during lesson 5 on Friday 3rd April. Staff across the school are being encouraged to teach without electricity for that hour to draw awareness to the issues of climate change and energy use.
