Languages, Literacy and Communication
The Languages, Literacy and Communication AoLE encompasses English, Cymraeg as a second language, and the international language of Spanish. At GCSE level, we also offer French and Media Studies, while Film Studies is added to our range of subjects at A Level.
In years 7, 8 and 9, pupils study iCommunicate, which is divided into three strands taught by subject specialists: iCommunicate English, iCommunicate Cymraeg and iCommunicate Spanish. The Languages, Literacy and Communication AoLE also offers various iExplore options, such as an introduction to French language and culture, Creative Writing, Film Studies and Media in the Modern World.
