Distance Learning

We have now finalised measures to support pupils’ distance learning.

Google Classroom

All teachers have been asked to set up a ‘Google Classroom’ for each of their classes. Many teachers have been using this platform with students for a long time and the vast majority of pupils are very familiar with its functions. We have decided that Google Classroom will be the primary point of contact between teachers and students. Pupils will receive Google Classroom notifications via their school email address.

Google Classroom will also be used as a means to centralise general learning resources in some Learning Areas and subjects. Pupils may be directed to these centralised resources by their subject teachers. For more information about Google Classroom, please follow the link below:

BBC Bitesize is a free online study resource. There are lots of interactive resources on BBC Bitesize, including mock tests to aid revision.

Quizlet is a popular free website providing learning tools for students, including flashcards and games.

GCSE Pod provides curriculum and revision support covering 27 GCSE subjects. 

WJEC - access a range of past papers and marking schemes.

Seneca Learning is a homework and revision platform for KS4 and KS5 students; it is designed to make learning more efficient and enjoyable.

Check YouTube for videos that have been uploaded by educators that may aid your revision. For example, Sean Donnelley’s free science lessons are excellent.
