What a delight it was to welcome Yr6 pupils in iCreate. They enjoyed experimenting with oil pastels and created some beautiful outcomes. Well done, everyone! #CreativeKids #SchoolArt

It was lovely to meet so many Year 6 parents/carers at the pre-loved uniform event on Wednesday 2nd July. We hope to run an event for all parents and carers during the summer break. Please keep an eye on social media for a confirmed date. If you have any second-hand uniform in good condition, we would welcome any donations. #ParentEngagement #PreLovedUniform #SchoolCommunity #Year6Transition
Thank you to all of the year 6 parents and carers who attended our coffee morning facilitated by our parents/carer forum. Those who came along had a chance to speak with other year 6 parents/carers, meet representatives from the governing body as well as find out about some of the support agencies we work with to support pupil and family wellbeing.
We welcomed our year 6 pupils this week for their Transition Week. We were excited to have them with us. The first day was a day on the field, taking part in lots of different activities!
You are invited to a Sondheim Soiree at Olchfa on Thursday 3rd July at 7pm. Please scan the QR code for tickets. Thank you to Grace in Year 13 for the poster design.
We are excited to continue our partnership with the fabulous team at #EYST who have offered to start a lunch time drop-in once a month. Further details will be announced via form tutors.
In June, our CHAT peer mentors went out to our feeder primary schools to get to know the year 6 pupils. They played games, talked about what life is like at Olchfa as well as answered a lot of questions! We are looking forward to having them with us for transition week coming up in July - it is going to be a great week!
Congratulations to Ava in year 8 who received a first-place achievement in the recent National Eisteddfod! Ava had to independently prepare her favourite dessert in the baking tent. She created a chocolate brownie, raspberry sorbet, and her own honeycomb, judged by Beca Lyne-Pirkis, a former Great British Bake Off contestant and S4C cookery show host. It was noted that the other finalists were older students; Ava appearing to be the only KS3 finalist. Well done Ava!
The u14 girls rugby team won the plate in the #Urdd tournament last term. There were over 40 school entries, which demonstrates their tremendous achievements. We are so proud of their efforts and accomplishments within the sport, both in school and for Dunvant rugby club. Mrs Ruggieri. https://www.facebook.com/reel/3103622473147000
Today we marked the 80th anniversary of #VEDay. Staff and pupils observed a 2 minute silence at 12pm and the kitchen staff hosted a VE Day celebration with bunting, music and a special menu including beef pie, cottage pie, a choice of vegetables and a classic trifle for pudding!
What a fantastic end to Culture Week at Olchfa! 🎉🌍 #WearToShare was a vibrant celebration of identity, heritage, and unity — and what an incredible turnout!
